Swimming Pool Kits Direct has won Gold for National Online Pool Store at the 2026 SPASA National Awards - the top award in the country for online pool retailers, judged by SPASA, the Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Australia.

It's the headline result from a strong season: four Gold awards in total, plus a Finalist placing in the national Best Pool Store major award, open to every pool business in the country, not just online ones.

What is the SPASA National Awards? 

SPASA — the Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Australia — is the industry's peak body. Its National Awards recognise businesses across the pool and spa industry each year, from retail and manufacturing through to construction and service, judged by an independent panel rather than by public vote.

Why did we win this category?

We're a business that helps “everyday Australians achieve a high-quality fibreglass pool without the high-end price tag or the usual runaround,” built on “clear pricing, expert advice and genuine support — especially for regional families and hands-on customers who want to do more of the journey themselves.”

That's our own description, not a judge's quote — but it's also exactly what we've been saying in every price breakdown and every “here's what's actually in your quote” for the past year. An independent panel looked at that model, judged it against every other online pool retailer in the country, and rated it the best.

None of the fundamentals changed because we won an award. Every pool kit still comes with a 25-year structural warranty, and every shell is still manufactured in NSW to Australian standards, backed by 30 years of fibreglass pool manufacturing experience. What changed is that it's no longer just us saying that's worth something.
