Lead the Charge or Join Forces?
We supply fibreglass pool kits built for Central Victorian conditions—from the large blocks of Strathfieldsaye to the established family streets of Kennington and the well-connected suburb of Kangaroo Flat.
Two routes available:
- Coordinate it yourself - manage the trades and keep up to $40,000
- Kit + licensed installer - we connect you with a certified pro, you still save up to $20,000
Both routes skip the all-in-one pool company markup. Same quality pool. More budget for heating—which turns four months of summer swimming into year-round.
Engineered for Central Victorian Heat
30°C summers. Extreme UV. Low humidity. Built for it.
Summers here average 27–30°C with heatwaves regularly exceeding 38°C. UV levels peak at extreme (10+) throughout summer, but low humidity (48–55%) makes conditions more comfortable than coastal areas. Without heating, comfortable swimming runs mid-November to mid-March—about four months. Add heating and you're swimming eight to twelve months.
Bendigo's lower rainfall (just 517mm annually—well below Melbourne) and hot, dry summers demand the right materials:
- Extreme UV-resistant gelcoat rated for Bendigo's intense summer UV exposure
- Heat-stable construction that handles rapid temperature swings during heatwaves
- Winter drainage engineered for the region's wetter June–September period
Real Family. Real Backyard. Real Savings.

Your Questions, Answered
How long does council approval take?
Victoria uses Building Permits—different from NSW's CDC system. You'll need a Building Permit from a private building surveyor (City of Greater Bendigo doesn't issue building permits directly). Most Bendigo residential pools don't need a Planning Permit unless your property has Heritage Overlay, flood zone, or bushfire restrictions. Private surveyors typically process permits in 5–7 working days.
When's the best time to install?
March to May or September to November. Autumn is ideal—dry conditions, moderate temperatures (15–25°C), and stable ground after the dry summer. Spring works well too as ground dries after winter rains. Avoid June to August when it's wettest, and December to February when extreme heat (30°C+) can affect fibreglass curing.
Can I legally install it myself?
Yes, though work over $16,000 requires either a registered domestic builder or an owner-builder Certificate of Consent. We provide step-by-step guides and connect you with licensed professionals for the regulated components.
