Do I need council approval in QLD?

Most residential pools in QLD don't require a council Development Application (DA) — provided your build meets standard siting requirements under the Queensland Development Code, including a 1.5 metre boundary setback. However, a Building Approval from a licensed private building certifier is mandatory for every pool in Queensland, regardless of size or location. Note that properties in flood, heritage, character, or environmental overlay zones may still require additional planning approval — check your property's overlays before proceeding.

How does delivery work?

Pools are manufactured at our Coolum Beach facility and delivered to all regions across Queensland. Because pools arrive fully assembled via heavy haulage, you'll need to arrange a local crane operator to lift the shell from the transport truck onto your prepared slab.
