Both routes skip the all-in-one pool company markup. Same quality pool. More left for the coastal lifestyle.
Built for Central Queensland Conditions
30°C summers. Wet season storms. Year-round UV. Covered.
Summers here hit 30°C with extreme UV (11–13+) from October to March. That's eight to ten months of comfortable swimming from September to May—and year-round with a heat pump.
But extreme UV, a wet season from November to April (February alone dumps 157mm), and Central Queensland's coastal conditions demand the right materials:
- Extreme UV-resistant gelcoat rated for Gladstone's year-round high UV conditions
- Wet-season drainage engineered for concentrated summer rainfall
- Salt-air resistant surfaces built to handle harbour city coastal conditions
Real Family. Real Backyard. Real Savings.

Your Questions, Answered
How long does council approval take?
Queensland doesn't use CDCs like NSW. You'll need a Building Approval from a licensed private certifier—often issued within 24 hours with complete documentation. Most Gladstone residential pools don't need a separate Development Application. Note: your pool cannot be filled to 300mm+ depth until the Final Inspection Certificate is issued.
When's the best time to install?
This is Gladstone's dry season—September sees just 26mm of rainfall versus February's 157mm. Start the approval process in March–April to have your pool ready before summer. Avoid December to March when wet season storms can waterlog excavation sites.
Can I legally install it myself?
Yes. In Queensland, work over $11,000 requires a QBCC Owner Builder Permit. We provide step-by-step guides and phone support throughout your project.
