How long does council approval take?

Queensland doesn't use CDCs like NSW. You'll need a Building Approval from a licensed private certifier—often issued within 1–5 business days, sometimes as fast as 24 hours. Most southside residential pools don't need a Development Application unless your property has flood, heritage, or other overlays.

When's the best time to install?

April to October. May through September is ideal—Brisbane's dry season with minimal rainfall and mild temperatures perfect for excavation and curing. Avoid December to February when wet season storms can delay work.

Can I legally install it myself?
