Engineered for Brisbane's West
30°C summers. Extreme UV. Wet season storms. Ready.
Summers here hit 29–30°C with UV levels reaching an extreme 15 in peak season. That's seven months of comfortable swimming from October to April—and year-round with a heat pump.
But extreme UV and a wet season from November to March (January–February see 158mm+) demand materials that perform:
- Extreme UV-resistant gelcoat rated for Brisbane's 11–15 summer UV index
- Storm-season drainage engineered for subtropical downpours and thunderstorms
- Humidity-resistant surfaces that won't degrade in warm, moist conditions
Real Family. Real Backyard. Real Savings.

Your Questions, Answered
How long does council approval take?
Queensland doesn't use CDCs like NSW. You'll need a Building Approval from a licensed private certifier—typically processed in 1–2 weeks. Most western Brisbane residential pools don't need a Development Application unless your property has flood, heritage, or other overlays. Note: outer western suburbs like Springfield and Karalee fall under Ipswich City Council.
When's the best time to install?
March to September, with May to August being ideal. This is Brisbane's driest window—July sees just 25–45mm versus January's 158mm. Ground conditions are stable, builder availability is better, and your pool is ready for summer.
Can I legally install it myself?
Yes. In Queensland, work over $11,000 requires a QBCC Owner Builder Permit. We provide step-by-step guides and phone support throughout your project.
