Captain It or Crew Up?
We supply fibreglass pool kits built for Wide Bay conditions—from the modern estates of Avoca to the semi-rural acreages of Branyan and the leafy family streets of Svensson Heights.
Two routes to savings:
- Coordinate it yourself - manage the trades and keep up to $40,000
- Kit + licensed installer - we connect you with a certified pro, you still save up to $20,000
Both routes skip the all-in-one pool company markup. Same quality pool. More left for the deck and landscaping.
Built for Wide Bay Conditions
30°C summers. Wet season storms. Extreme UV. Handled.
Summers here hit 30°C with UV levels reaching an extreme 12–13. That's eight months of comfortable swimming from September to April—and year-round with a heat pump.
But extreme UV, a wet season from December to March (January alone dumps 168mm), and Wide Bay's humid subtropical conditions demand the right materials:
- Extreme UV-resistant gelcoat rated for Bundaberg's year-round high UV exposure
- Wet-season drainage engineered for concentrated summer rainfall
- Humidity-resistant surfaces that won't degrade in subtropical condition
Real Family. Real Backyard. Real Savings.

Your Questions, Answered
How long does council approval take?
Queensland doesn't use CDCs like NSW. You'll need a Building Approval from a licensed private certifier—Bundaberg Regional Council ceased direct building certification in 2015. Private certifiers can often process approvals within 24–48 hours with complete documentation.
When's the best time to install?
April to September. May through August is ideal—the driest months with just 33–40mm of rainfall versus 168mm in January. Ground conditions are stable, and your pool is ready for summer.
Can I legally install it myself?
Yes. In Queensland, work over $11,000 requires a QBCC Owner Builder Permit. We provide step-by-step guides and phone support throughout your project.
