Built for Brisbane's Subtropical Climate
Extreme UV. Wet season storms. Year-round warmth. Ready
Summers here hit 29–30°C with UV levels reaching an extreme 15 in January. That's seven to eight months of comfortable swimming without heating—and year-round with a heat pump and pool blanket.
But extreme UV and a wet season from November to March (February alone dumps 150mm+) demand materials that perform:
- Extreme UV-resistant gelcoat rated for Brisbane's 11–15 summer UV index
- Wet-season drainage engineered for subtropical downpours and storm season
- Humidity-resistant surfaces that won't degrade in Brisbane's warm, moist conditions
Real Family. Real Backyard. Real Savings.

Your Questions, Answered
How long does council approval take?
Queensland doesn't use CDCs like NSW. Most northside pools qualify as "Accepted Development" (no planning approval needed), but you'll always need a Building Approval from a licensed private certifier—often issued within 24 hours to 10 business days. Properties with flood, heritage, or character overlays may need a Development Application.
When's the best time to install?
April to September, with May to August being ideal. Winter is Brisbane's driest window—July sees just 34mm versus February's 152mm. Avoid November to March when wet season storms can waterlog excavation sites.
Can I legally install it myself?
Yes. In Queensland, work over $11,000 requires a QBCC Owner Builder Permit. We provide step-by-step guides and phone support throughout your project.
