Engineered for Tropical Mackay
30°C summers. Wet season. Cyclone region. Built for it.
Summers here hit 29–30°C with extreme UV year-round. That's eight to ten months of comfortable swimming from September to June—and year-round with a heat pump.
But extreme UV (11+ in summer), a wet season delivering 60% of annual rainfall between December and March, and cyclone risk demand materials built to tropical standards:
- Extreme UV-resistant gelcoat rated for Mackay's year-round high UV conditions
- Wet-season drainage engineered for 1,585mm annual rainfall concentrated in summer
- Cyclone-region construction standards built to withstand North Queensland conditions
Real Family. Real Backyard. Real Savings.

Your Questions, Answered
How long does council approval take?
Queensland doesn't use CDCs like NSW. You'll need a Building Permit from a licensed private certifier—typically processed in 2–3 business days, or as fast as 24–48 hours with complete documentation. Most Mackay residential pools don't need a separate Development Application.
When's the best time to install?
August to October is optimal—September is Mackay's driest month with just 19mm of rainfall. The broader May to October dry season window also works well. Avoid December to March when the wet season brings cyclone risk and waterlogged ground.
Can I legally install it myself?
Yes. In Queensland, work over $11,000 requires a QBCC Owner Builder Permit. We provide step-by-step guides and phone support throughout your project.
