Call the Shots or Call in Backup?
We supply fibreglass pool kits built for Geelong's coastal conditions—from the family streets of Belmont to the growing suburbs of Waurn Ponds and the prestigious blocks of Newtown.
Two paths forward:
- Coordinate it yourself - manage the trades and keep up to $40,000
- Kit + licensed installer - we connect you with a certified pro, you still save up to $20,000
Both routes skip the all-in-one pool company markup. Same quality pool. More budget for heating—which turns three months of summer swimming into year-round.
Engineered for Geelong's Coastal Climate
Mild summers. Sudden heatwaves. Surf Coast conditions. Ready.
Summers here average 23–26°C—milder than inland Melbourne—but heatwaves still push past 35°C. UV levels reach 8–11 (Very High to Extreme) in peak season. Without heating, comfortable swimming runs December to March—three to five months. Add heating and you're swimming eight to twelve months.
Geelong's coastal position and evenly distributed rainfall demand the right materials:
- Extreme UV-resistant gelcoat rated for Geelong's summer UV exposure
- Salt-air tolerant surfaces built for proximity to Corio Bay and the Surf Coast
- Year-round drainage engineered for Geelong's evenly distributed rainfall
Real Family. Real Backyard. Real Savings.

Your Questions, Answered
How long does council approval take?
Victoria uses Building Permits—different from NSW's CDC system. You'll need a Building Permit from a registered building surveyor for any pool over 300mm depth. Most standard Geelong residential pools don't need a Planning Permit unless your property has Heritage, Bushfire, or other overlay controls.
When's the best time to install?
March to July. Autumn is ideal—March is Geelong's driest month (just 25–33mm) and contractors are less busy before summer demand hits. Winter works well too, with potential cost savings and your pool ready for the next swimming season. Avoid October–November when spring rains are heaviest.
Can I legally install it myself?
Yes, though work over $10,000 requires a registered builder for the construction. We provide step-by-step guides and connect you with licensed professionals for the regulated components.
