Your options:
- Coordinate it yourself - line up the trades and keep up to $40,000

Both routes cut out the retail markup. Same quality pool. More left for the outdoor kitchen.
Made for Escarpment to Coast
3,200 hours of sun. Extreme UV. Coastal salt. Ready for all of it.
Summers here average 25–26°C, with sea breezes keeping things comfortable. That's seven months of swimming without heating—November right through to May—and year-round with a heat pump.
But extreme UV (hitting 14 in summer) and coastal conditions test every surface:
- UV-hardened gelcoat rated for the Illawarra's extreme summer UV index
- Salt-air resistant finish built to handle coastal and near-coastal conditions
- Wet-season drainage engineered for the 150mm+ rainfall months of late summer
Real Family. Real Backyard. Real Savings.

Your Questions, Answered
How long does council approval take?
The Illawarra spans Wollongong and Shellharbour councils. Most standard pools qualify for a Complying Development Certificate (CDC)—typically 7–20 days through a private certifier. Heritage areas, flood zones, or non-standard setbacks may require a full DA.
When's the best time to install?
May to August. It's the driest window (under 85mm monthly), ground conditions are stable, and builders have better availability. Avoid February and March—that's when the heaviest rain hits. A winter install means you're swimming by November.
Can I legally install it myself?
Yes. In NSW, an owner-builder permit is required when coordinating two or more contractors on work over $10,000. We provide step-by-step guides and phone support throughout your project.
