Steer the Project or Share the Helm?
We supply fibreglass pool kits built for Melton's inland conditions—from the established family suburb of Kurunjang to the master-planned community of Taylors Hill and the 711-hectare Woodlea Estate in Aintree.
Two options available:
- Coordinate it yourself - manage the trades and keep up to $40,000
- Kit + licensed installer - we connect you with a certified pro, you still save up to $20,000
Both routes skip the all-in-one pool company markup. Same quality pool. More budget for heating—which turns three months of summer swimming into seven.
Engineered for Melton's Inland Heat
26°C summers. Extreme UV. 40°C heatwaves. Handled.
Summers here average 26°C with heatwave days exceeding 40°C. UV levels reach extreme (12–14) from October to March. Without heating, comfortable swimming runs December to early March—about three months. Add heating and you're swimming October to April.
Melton's inland position brings warmer summers than bayside Melbourne, with rainfall evenly distributed year-round (579–612mm annually). That demands the right materials:
- Extreme UV-resistant gelcoat rated for Melton's intense summer UV exposure
- Heat-stable construction that handles rapid temperature swings during heatwaves
- Year-round drainage engineered for Melbourne's variable rainfall patterns
Real Family. Real Backyard. Real Savings.

Your Questions, Answered
How long does council approval take?
Victoria uses Building Permits—different from NSW's CDC system. You'll need a Building Permit from a registered building surveyor for any pool over 300mm depth. City of Melton doesn't conduct pool inspections directly—you'll need a private surveyor. Permits typically take 5–10 working days. Most standard residential pools don't need a Planning Permit unless your property has specific overlay restrictions.
When's the best time to install?
March to May or September to November. March is Melton's driest month (just 33mm)—ideal for excavation. Spring installation ensures your pool is ready for summer. Avoid December to February when extreme heat days (40°C+) affect curing, and mid-winter when consistent rain creates wet soil conditions.
Can I legally install it myself?
Yes, though work over $16,000 requires an Owner-Builder Certificate of Consent from VBA, plus a registered builder for the construction. We provide step-by-step guides and connect you with licensed professionals for the regulated components.
