- Kit + licensed installer - we connect you with a certified pro, you still save up to $20,000
Both routes skip the all-in-one pool company markup. Same quality pool. More budget for heating—which transforms Melbourne's four-month swimming season into year-round.
Built for Melbourne's Bayside
Bay breezes. Extreme summer UV. Four seasons in one day. Sorted.
Summers here hit 25–26°C with UV levels reaching an extreme 12–14 in peak season. Without heating, comfortable swimming runs December to March—just four months. Add solar heating and you're swimming October to April. A heat pump gives you nine months or more.
Melbourne's variable climate and bayside conditions demand the right materials:
- Extreme UV-resistant gelcoat rated for Melbourne's intense summer UV exposure
- Year-round drainage engineered for Melbourne's evenly distributed rainfall
- Salt-air resistant surface built to handle bay-side coastal conditions
Real Family. Real Backyard. Real Savings.

Your Questions, Answered
How long does council approval take?
Victoria uses Building Permits—different from NSW's CDC system. You'll need a Building Permit from a registered building surveyor for any pool over 300mm depth, plus compliant safety barriers. Properties with Heritage or Neighbourhood Character Overlays (common in the inner south) may also need a Planning Permit—check with City of Port Phillip first.
When's the best time to install?
March to May or August to September. Autumn offers dry conditions and mild temperatures with your pool ready for summer. Late winter works well too. Avoid October–November when spring rains are heaviest, and mid-winter when shorter days slow progress.
Can I legally install it myself?
Yes, though work over $10,000 requires a registered builder for the construction. We provide step-by-step guides and connect you with licensed professionals for the regulated components.
