Built for Murray Region Conditions
31°C summers. Winter rainfall. Inland extremes. Ready.
Summers here hit 30–31°C with January pushing past 31°C. UV levels reach high (7) in peak season—lower than tropical Queensland but still demanding protection. Without heating, comfortable swimming runs mid-November to March—about four to five months. Add heating and you're swimming mid-September to mid-April.
Wodonga's inland position means winter-dominant rainfall (June–August brings 230mm+) while summers stay dry (January–February see just 37–47mm). That demands the right build:
- UV-resistant gelcoat rated for Murray region summer conditions
- Winter drainag engineered for the region's wet June–August period
- Heat-retention design that works with your heating system to extend the season
Real Family. Real Backyard. Real Savings.

Your Questions, Answered
How long does council approval take?
Victoria uses Building Permits—different from NSW's CDC system. You'll need a Building Permit from a registered building surveyor—City of Wodonga can issue permits or you can use a private surveyor. Most standard residential pools don't need a Planning Permit unless your property has Heritage, Flood, or other overlay restrictions. Permits typically take 5–10 business days, often faster with complete documentation.
When's the best time to install?
February to May is optimal—low rainfall (37–58mm monthly), stable ground after the dry summer, and your pool is ready for the next season. October to November works well too if you want to swim that same summer. Avoid June to August when winter rains bring 76–80mm monthly and waterlogged ground.
Can I legally install it myself?
Yes, though work over $10,000 requires a registered builder for the construction. We provide step-by-step guides and connect you with licensed professionals for the regulated components.
